Grant Hanes

Grant Hanes received his B.S. in Elementary Education from Tennessee Tech University in 1983. After teaching 28 years in public schools, Grant retired from public education and now serves as the 5th grade teacher at Christ Episcopal School.

Grant moved to Texas in 1986 after teaching in Tennessee for 3 years. Grant and his wife, Kristeen, have resided in Nacogdoches for the last 10 years. They have one daughter, Mary, who teaches first grade, and one son, D.J., who has just finished his degree in GIS and Land Surveying at SFASU. Grant loves the Lord and serves as a Baptist pastor in a neighboring community. He also enjoys motorcycles and reading, especially westerns and science-fiction.
